- Deliveroo joins forces with Sano Pizza of Temple Bar to create an Irish first – beer-infused pizza
- Available on October 9th to celebrate International Beer and Pizza Day
Something that seems so wrong can also be so right. To celebrate International Beer and Pizza Day, Deliveroo has partnered with Sano, Temple Bar to create the newest food fusion to hit Ireland.
Beer-infused pizza will be baked to perfection and ready for customers to order exclusively from Deliveroo for one day only on 9th October. That's right – beer and soakage fused together in one sumptuous bite!
The specially kneaded dough is made with 12 O'Clock Mass IPA Beer, produced by Dowd's Lane Brewery of Clonmel Co. Tipperary.
An unusual base deserves an unusual finish - with a topping lineup of pistachio, fresh mozzarella, rocket, spicy salami, stracciatella and balsamic glaze.
Liam Cox, General Manager for Deliveroo in Ireland said, "We're delighted to have partnered with Sano Pizza to produce a delicious treat of high-quality pizza with Irish-brewed beer for International Beer and Pizza Day.
"Whether customers want to quell the Budget Fear with a slice of indulgence or just want to enjoy a new and limited lunchtime treat, beer infused pizza is the top choice", Cox added.
Sano Pizza create succulent, Neapolitan soft-style pizzas, hand-stretched and topped with authentic Italian ingredients before being stone oven-baked. 12 O'Clock Mass IPA is an ale that contains a fruit fusion with a concentration of citrus lime, and contains an alcohol content amount of 4.5% ABV.
The Beer Pizza will only be available for purchase by those over the age of 18, and customers who order from this range must be prepared to show age ID upon delivery to the Deliveroo rider.
The pizza is 12 inches and costs €12.
"We hope Deliveroo customers will enjoy this limited edition Beer Pizza, but as with all alcohol, in any form, we encourage customers to enjoy and consume alcohol sensibly and responsibly."
